This posting is about my CrossFit Art Collection.
I also used photo transfer skill for these ones.
CrossFit is my all time favorite exercise.
(So many things I want to talk about CrossFit, but this posting is about artwork...maybe later)
I always thought it will be so much fun if i make some CrossFit related art,
And finally here.
*All the artworks in this posting are NOT FOR SALE*
I made these for sample.
CrossFit photos and logos are copyrighted.
I even can't use "CrossFit" term in my Etsy shop.
I do make custom CrossFit related art, but that's ONLY possible with buyer's own picture.
One of my friend asked me custom work with his sister's photo for a gift.
Do you have CrossFitter friends? I'm sure they having at least one great photo in their Facebook ;)
This is a material I used as ground.
Papier Mache -100% pure white paper pulp.
I've never used this product before, having some pros and cons.
It's very easy to use - mix with water. That's it.
No need to correct scrap papers, tear that, ground with glue (need blender)....
But l think, I think there's a lot of chemical inside...I cough a lot every time I open the bag.
Anyway, It is perfectly works for my art.
This is Rich Froning.
4 Time CrossFit Games Winner, The Fittest Man on the Earth..
This piece is my favorite.
The contrast... texture...
I'm thinking that it will be very nice in bigger size...like poster.
Here's another piece.
Adding some acrylic.
I wanted to focus on the explosion of body.
Lift!!
Paint Logo, Paint edge with black color, Varnish..and done!
I think that paper mache texture and CrossFit is perfectly "Fit" each other.
Very neat with frame :)
Can you see the background? Maybe not...
There is a women (Michele Letendre) doing muscle-up
and the other women (Camille Leblanc-bazinet) rope climbing.
I used too much gesso and gel medium on the background,
not much thing transferred.
So I decided to draw CrossFit Games logo on it.
I used Liquitex paint marker, and some regular acrylic
And add some heavy body acrylic on it to give texture and volume.
Tada!
Almost done.
So, This is my CrossFit art collection.
I had so much fun while I'm doing it.
Art and CrossFit....Two of my favorite things! <3
I wish I can get some custom work.
Good luck everybody for the OPEN!
